Northwest mourning death of first-year student

Northwest Missouri State University is mourning one of its students who died early Sunday as the result of a car crash.

Jase Wilmes, a first-year agricultural business major from New Market, Iowa, was pronounced dead at the scene of the vehicle crash near Clarinda, Iowa.

A visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, in the Clarinda High School gymnasium, 100 N. Cardinal Drive in Clarinda, Iowa. A memorial service is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, in the high school gymnasium. An obituary is accessible by clicking this link.
